D1903 13oz "Ishikawadai" WWII Selvedge Jeans

During the Second World War, civilan garment designs were simplified as to be more reliably produced by less experienced sewers. Over time there has been a growing interest in garments from this era, and Studio D'Artisan answers the call for such items with this stellar reproduction. The D1903 features a generous top block, roomy thigh, and a full leg. The 13oz fabric is produced on shuttle looms that lend the fabric a noticeable unevenness, and the yarns themselves are spun on old fashioned "Ishikawadai" spinning machines, whose slower speeds produce a yarn with a texture more similar to that of hand-spun cotton.

Studio D'Artisan utilizes era-accurate laurel hardware for this jean that has been oxidized, as well has treating the fabric face to provide for an oxidized, blue tone.

This jean is produced from an unsanforized fabric but has been washed once to remove shrinkage. The waist of this jean will stretch up to an inch within a few weeks of wear. Please consider taking one to two sizes up for the best fit.
